Greetings Office Dynamics Conference Attendees!

It was great meeting all of you! I loved our time together! What a great audience you all are! Please help me find more groups like you. I would love to spend all my time working with Office Professionals, Women’s groups, Middle Managers… people in the service professions who need a shot in the arm once in awhile. Please let me know if you know any groups like that! Thanks!

OK – Like I said, I suffer from SUPER ADMIN SYNDROME! – You won’t believe what I did to myself on Oct 24th! I “fixed” my website… and it went all wonky, then it was just all white pages, then it was all jumbley and crazy. I kept laughing at myself remembering how I confessed to you that I do that! SO — I have a request: If you see anything at all that is still wonky, or if you see something missing, please email me Beth [at] Bethterry.com – so I can fix it. LOL – Thanks! I KNOW you understand!

As promised, here are some links and additional information for you.

First, in case you did not get the handout – here’s a PDF

Second – If you liked that Prezi presentation I did, here is the one I edited for you after I got a chance to meet all of you (we didn’t show this because the iPad didn’t work with the system. Oh WELL!!)

Here are some articles on Oxytocin, Bonding, and Men & Women’s different responses

Hint: Go to a Naturopath and get your hormone levels checked. There are wonderful bio-available options that will get you back on track not only with your libido, but also with your energy levels and your happy-ness.

If you don’t know where to find one, here’s a link that may help: Naturopath Directory

I’m a firm believer in paying attention to your body and being responsible for your own health. Your doctor should be your partner, not a dictator. If your doctor gives you advice that doesn’t resonate with you, get another opinion. Take care of yourself! We need you!

A wonderful book on Men – What Could He Be Thinking?

Michael Gurian’s book explains it all – well sort of (oh, if it were that simple!)

While culture is important, Gurian maintains that the biological differences in the male and female brains explain just about everything that puzzles women about the opposite sex:

It explains why he won’t let go of the TV remote.

It explains why he thinks mowing the yard is more important than vacuuming the carpet.

It explains why it’s difficult for him to talk when he gets angry.

It explains why he can remember all the pitchers’ names and World Series scores, but not the conversation you had with him yesterday.

It explains why he puts so much of his identity into his work.

It explains why romance isn’t as important to him as it is to you.

It explains why he won’t talk to you at night.

Here’s the big secret:

This is the big difference that explains it all: The male brain secretes less of the powerful primary bonding chemical oxytocin and less of the calming chemical serotonin than the female brain. Instead, the male hormones that bathe the brain are testosterone and vasopressin, which make him seek competitive, hierarchical groups to prove his self-worth and identity.

Here’s That wonderful dancing video with the song, “Trip the Light”

Please click on this link and then purchase the video from Matt. He’s an amazing man and I love his work! I wrote to Matt and asked him if I could have permission to play the video I had bought. He was very sweet and we emailed back and forth several times. He thought it was a cool idea to use it in my seminars. Please support him!

From Matt:

“The dancers in Syria are blurred for their safety.”
“I got into North Korea with Koryo Tours. It’s not difficult or dangerous.”

“This video was made without a sponsor. I don’t need you to buy anything. Just remember we need to take care of each other.”

As promised, here is the information on Carole Maggio’s Face Exercise book: FACERCISE

I love love love this book and her videos. I contacted her recently to tell her I’d been using her system for 33 years. She was so excited about it that she arranged a Skype meeting with me. (I think she was curious how I looked! )

She is a lovely woman and has a lot of good information on her website. I hope you’ll get a chance to hear her speak some day. She certainly changed my life way back in 1981!

“Expecting life to treat you well because you are a good person is like expecting an angry bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian!”

~Shari Barr, humorist

“Life goes on within you and without you.”

~ Beth Terry (at least I’ve been saying that for 40 years. Maybe someone said it before me. But it’s still important to remember!)

 ~ Olaf Isaachsen

“When you die, what will you have stood for?

When you die, what will you be remembered for?

When you die, will your soul celebrate your life?”

~ My father in a dream that encouraged me to go start my speaking business. Beth Terry

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

~ Aristotle
