Dear Beth,

You deserve a short break. Take a deep breath, relax those shoulders, and enjoy this "Moment for You."

Hey Readers - I'm very excited. I'll be interviewed this week by "the Accidental Millionaire," Stephanie Frank. You can listen in! April 26 from 2:30-4pm Phoenix time Here's the link

Sedona Red Rocks
I am sitting in a little Bed & Breakfast tucked into the pines overlooking Sedona's famous red rocks. Around the deck, a light rain wakens flower buds and spreads their fragrance throughout the room. I have a little fire going in the fireplace,

It is springtime in Arizona. I'm celebrating my birthday by taking time out for me. Your letter is the only "work" I am doing this weekend. Mostly because I never consider these conversations to be work.

So many of us are programmed to take our vacations in the summer or during winter holidays. But perhaps since I'm a spring baby, I find ways to get away every year around this time.

Spring has magical qualities. I told you last month about the freeze that claimed so many of our trees. Fortunately, I was too tired from taking the palm fronds down that I never got around to cutting back all my "dead' trees. A few robust spring rains and warm spring days have obliterated all signs of that freeze, and those trees slated for removal are blossoming in defiance of my death proclamation.

The message is simple. Don't give up. Find nourishment. Step back and review your options. And trust.

Sometimes things look more dire than they are. Taking a deep breath and pausing before reacting is generally a wise choice.

~~~~~~~
A hummingbird hovers above, studying me. It decides I'm not a flower and zooms over to check out the rosebuds. The rain has stopped. It's time to go out for a walk.
Get out in the Spring weather this week. Take some quiet time out for you. You'll be renewed and ready to take on your work load again when you get back.
I hope you will listen to Beth. You two-leggeds really don't take enough time to play. You spend all your time worrying about making money, making money, or spending money. Then you spend the money you worked so hard for on 'recreation."
Maybe if you just stopped and played a little while you'd be better off. You wouldn't make as much money maybe. But, you wouldn't have to spend so much on your health or on 'recreation' in order to get rid of the stress.
Is it really worth all the trouble? I'm glad I got to come back as a dog this time. I work 4 hours a day and sleep the rest. Now that's a great way to find renewal!
You take care, now!
Love, Xena
Beth, I just love your newsletters. I just went online and read almost all of them in one sitting. I feel like I know you. Thanks for keeping the archives available to us. What a great resource you are!
Enjoy your day! Remember to take a little 'me' time once in awhile.
A hui hou, (till we meet again)
